Tømmekjøring-ish

Det Biloxi og jeg holdt på med er nok ikke heeelt etter boken. Men han fikk "tømmer" festet i grimen og gjennom gjord. Dekkenet var like mye på for tilvenningens skyld som for kulda, og det er litt morsomt at det har vært brukt av ikke mindre enn seks av Biloxis "forgjengere". Anyways. Sion og Wibecke har tømmekjørt en god del før, men de har aldri hatt med selskap. Biloxi og jeg ble litt av et distraksjonsmoment for dem, men det er jo trening det og. For Biloxis del så velger jeg å fokusere på det positive; han er blid og fornøyd med å få være med på tur, kul med å gå bak Sion og ekstra glad når han får gå foran, passe lydig mht gass, brems og ratt og overhodet ikke bakredd eller truende (jeg kunne dytte, pille og miste tøylene så de hang og slang i bakbena uten at han ble noe bekymret eller engang tenkte på å vifte med en fot). Alt i alt var det sliiitsomt å holde følge med ham i snøen, men kjempeartig!

Biloxi and I probably don't do things by the book. But I attached long reins to his headcollar, and through a proper girth. The rug was there more for "practice" than for the cold, but it's kind of cool that he can wear hoof-me-downs from years and years ago. Anyway. Sion and Wibecke have been working on the long reining for a while, but they've never had company. Biloxi and I were a bit of a distraction, but that's training too. For Biloxis part I chose to focus on the good; he's thrilled to be a part of things, cool with walking behind Sion and even more happy to be in the lead, he's OK with going forward, stopping and turning, and not even remotely worried about having me (and, at one point, loose reins flapping) right behind him. All in all it was tiring to keep up with him in the snow, but we had a blast!
