Riktignok uten såpe, og bare av bakben, rumpe og hale, men jeg var forberedt på en særdeles misfornøyd og lite samarbeidsvillig Santee. Rustet med tålmodighet, varmt vann i bøtte, og deretter ikke fullt så varmt brønnvann i slange lot jeg det stå til. Og han sto. Som en påle. Flinketee!
The first wash of spring was without soap, and only of his rump, tail and hindlegs, but I was prepared for a very unhappy and uncooperative Santee. So I loaded up on patience as well as a bucket of warm water, and a hoseful of ice cold water, and got at it. All the while he didn't put a foot wrong, and stood like this was an everyday occurrence. Good boy!
