The weather was so bad that the yearlings were taken in at lunchtime, so Biloxi was in his box when I arrived. He nickered, and I did a double take. Something was very wrong with his right eye. I tried taking a picture, but it's not easy. The eye itself seems perfectly unharmed, with the pupil contracting like it normally would. And he didn't seem to be in pain. But it was swollen, with a discharge and it almost looked like a piece of the lower lid had been surgically removed. Not that I thought or think that anyone had attacked him with a scalpel, it's just hard to imagine what he (or the others) could have done to cause such a presise injury. The only theory I have is that it was caused by his headcollar during play.
