Gutta ble begge svette etter leking og løping, og Biloxi tørker på null komma svisj med sin korte pels. Santee's flotte ragg blir våtere og tørker langsommere, men det fungerer så absolutt som det skal. Fuktigheten blir transportert ut fra hud og underpels, og blir så til is. Men han er ikke kald. I forbindelse med kveldsstellet dro jeg over med et håndkle, og så en grov børste. Da var det ingen fukt igjen når jeg satt ham ut igjen i kulda.
The colts were both sweating after the playing and running, and Biloxi dries in no time at all. Santee, on the other hand, takes much longer, but there's no doubt that his coat is working exactly as it should. The moisture is transported away from his skin and inner coat, and then transformed to ice. But he's not cold. I swiped over him with a cloth, removing the ice and frost, and brushed just a little, and by the time he was back out he was dry and comfy.
