Sololoxi på tur

Ingen tvil om at Biloxi er litt over gjennomsnittet selvstendig. Idag tok jeg ham ut fra paddocken hvor de tre andre gutta sto, og leide på en nesten 15 min tur. Vi har gått på tur her før, men alltid sammen med Sioux. Men på hele turen var det kun et vrinsk og litt utålmodig pånnis; ikke da vi møtte skiløpere, ikke da vi møtte andre hester, ikke da vi møtte bråkete småbarnsfamilie med akebrett eller andre folk på tur, men da vi møtte Monica og jeg fikk henne til å ta noen bilder av oss. Å stå stille sååå lenge var kjedelig. Men ellers gikk han altså pent på plass med heng i tauet og toppede ører hele tiden. Så lydig og flink at jeg nesten ble helt rørt. Tilbake ved paddocken var Biloxi rolig og fin mens jeg fomlet litt med port og flytting av tre veldig nysgjerrige (hvorharduværthvahardugjort?) åringer. Flinkeflinkeloxi!

There's no doubt Biloxi is unusually confident, and trusting, for his age. Today I took him from the paddocks where he was hanging out with his three friends, and went for a 15 minute walk. We've gone for plenty of walks around here before, but always with Sioux, never alone. But there was only one time when he neighed and pulled the rope, and that's when we had to stand still for a while to have our photo taken. Other than he didn't even blink at the (noisy) people, horses and things we had to pass. He just walked beside me, the leadrope soft in my hand, with his ears perked. Back at the paddocks he behaved impeccably while I opened the gate and moved the others out of the way. Such a good little horse!
