Brødrene Brothers

Jeg var egentlig ferdig med mitt for dagen, og hadde sagt takk for i dag til Sioux og Santee som sto og gumlet høy. Da jeg sa hadet til Bilxoi snudde han seg bort fra maten og kom for å få en kos. Mens jeg sto der og klødde ham under haken og rundt ørene så jeg at Santee var kommet bort og sto og så på oss. Så da åpnet jeg boksdøren slik at han se oss bedre, eller komme nærmere om han ville. Og det tok ikke lang tid før han sto så jeg klødde på dem begge. Så begynte de å snuse på hverandre. Det har de gjort før, og jeg tok sjansen på å lirke fram moblen for å knipse et hilsebilde. Mens jeg knipser ser jeg at Biloxi har tungen mellom tennene, akkurat sånn som han har når han leker med for eksempel Sion. Og sånn sto de ganske lenge. Santee vekslet på å følltygge og å prøvesmake litt på Biloxi. Øynene hans var som på stilk - dette var spennende! - mens Biloxi var avslappet og mild i blikket. Øyeblikk som dette fantaserer jeg om å beholde dem begge for evig og alltid...

I was finished for the day and had just told Sioux and Santee goodnight while they were busy eating hay. When I stopped outside of Biloxi's box he came over for a cuddle, and I scratched his chin and around his ears. As I was busy doing that I noticed that Santee had moved all the way down to watch us, so I opened the door to his box so he could see us better. Or move closer. Which is what he did. In half a minute I was busy scratching them both, and then they started sniffing each other. They've done that before, so I got my phone out to take a photo of them saying hello. And then I notice that Biloxi has his tongue between his teeth, like he does when he's playing with eg Sion. And they stood like that for quite a few minutes. Santee either foal chewing or biting Biloxi ever so gently. He was so excited and spilling over with energy while Biloxi was so calm and relaxed, clearly enjoying it too. Moments like this I want to keep them both. Forever...
