Ut på (mikromini)tur alene

Lørdag var det dårlig fotovær, i tillegg hadde jeg bare to armer, så det ble lite bilder. Men miljøtrening og avvennings-forberedelser er helt i rute, og her ser dere Biloxi kaste et raskt blikk tilbake på mamsen når vi tusler ut. Jeg hadde begge ute hver for seg i korte økter, og selvom den som sto igjen inne ble mest "stresset" så gikk det overraskende greit. Mest imponert var jeg over at både Biloxi og Sioux greide å fokusere på meg mens vi var utenfor. Sioux hadde dessuten på seg hodelag med bitt for første gang siden januar eller deromkring. Jeg fikk nemmelig lange tøyler-tøyler i posten idag, og måtte teste disse. Dessverre var ikke hallen ledig, så vi vaset bare rundt på plassen mellom stall og hall. Men Sioux reagerte ikke negativt på bittet eller forespørsel om å "jobbe" bittelitt.

The weather was non-photo-friendly, and I'd only brought my two arms, so hardly any photos. But we did do lots of stuff. And the weaning-preparation is going very well. The photo shows Biloxi leaving the stables, alone. I had both horses out separately a couple of times, and even though the horse left behind inside was a little worried, it went surprisingly well. I was impressed that both Sioux and Biloxi managed to keep most of their focus on me while outside. Sioux actually wore a bridle with a bit for the first time since January or thereabouts. I got some long-reining reins in the mail, and wanted to test them. The indoor arena was occupied, so we just ambled about in the area between the stables and the arena. But Sioux didn't show any reluctance to the bit or being asked to "work" a tiny bit.
