When the shoes have been shaped to fit Sioux's hooves perfectly they're still not done. As a result of what they've seen they make sure to round parts of the shoe even more in order to accomodate growth, and also to prevent brushing. This time it's Carsten who holds the shoe while Matheus wields the machinery. It makes a heap of noise, and the sparks fly so even Sioux thinks it's a bit much and we have to back up a little. I tell her she won't be a police horse when she grows up if she's this whimpy, but she just snorts and claims that any horse who will remain 10 meters away from something like this even if she isn't tied to anything (and with the person attending more busy taking photos) is qualified. And I tend to agree.
