Hestene er veldig bortskjemte når det gjelder gulrøtter. Det er nemmelig ikke bare godteri her i gården, men en del av den daglige dietten. Fordelt på måltidene får hestene minst 1 kilo gulrot om dagen hver. Men tror du at de blir lei av den grunn? Nix! Når Fru Mor har med seg noen guliser ned til paddocken blir hestene ekstra superduperglade og står (nesten) pent i kø for å få sin andel. Sioux er naturligvis noen hakk mindre masete enn Biloxi, men selv han oppfører seg pent og sluker ikke godbiten sin men gnager fornøyd i vei mens Fru Mor holder.
The horses are very spoiled with regards to carrots. They're not just a treat, but a part of their daily diet. They're fed carrots with their concentrates and get about a kilo each a day. But, trust me, they don't get bored with it. When mum brings a few down to them in the paddocks, they're super happy and wait (im)patiently in line for their share. Sioux is, of course, more polite than Biloxi, but even he behaves well and takes his time gnawing and eating while mum holds the carrot for him.
