I dag kom snøen! Gutta, og de fleste andre hestene, reagerte med iver og entusiasme, mens Sioux tok det med sin sedvanlige ro. Det ble ganske glatt rundt om, og når gutta girer opp som for å "løpe fra" glatta tar Sioux det enda roligere, ser seg for og er så forsiktig og fornuftig som bare en voksen hest kan være.
Når det er sagt, Santee hørte på meg når jeg ba ham roe ned. Og da jeg parkerte begge gutta utenfor (den åpne) stalldøren for å fjerne kladder på Biloxi sto begge bom stille.
Winter's here! It snowed, and all the horses reacted with eagerness and enthusiasm, except for Sioux who just took it in her stride. As usual. It gets pretty slippery, and while the boys will gear up and try to "run away" from trouble, Sioux takes it even easier, looks were she's going and is as careful and sensible as only a grown horse can be.
Having said that, Santee did listen when I told him to calm down. And when I had to stop (both) the colts in order to remove Biloxis snowstilts they both stood perfectly.
