I cannot believe the amount of forests in Sweden. Thank god for a skilled driver who isn't sleepy or unfocused. The not being tired might have something to do with me talking a mile a minute, but either way I really appreciate being a passenger rather than the driver as I count down the hours and miles. Täby racecourse is situated in Stockholm, and that's where Biloxi and I will be picked up and taken on the third and final leg of our trip. When we arrive it's late, dark and cold. I unload the equipment, and once he realises something is up Biloxi gets a bit restless. He's a bit tired and unsteady when I lead him down the ramp, but wakes up once outside and allowed to walk and sample the local grass. Soon the horsebox is here to pick us up, and once the equipment is loaded I load Biloxi. Except for taking the time to sniff the pony that's there to keep him company he walks straight in. This part of the trip is very short, just 15 minutes, but he doesn't know that, and I am so proud that he follows me willingly into the third and final mode of transport for today.
Once there I lead him for a few minutes before showing him in to his new box. Everything is in order and after a cursory inspection he takes a looong pee. Then a long drink before he tucks into his forage. By the time he is served dinner with an extra helping of nice and sloppy beet pulp he's looking right at home.
