Avledningsmanøver

Om hestene løp og stresset? Nix.

Letting the horses into the paddocks worked a treat. They were so distracted by the grass that the golfers could have landed a helicopter for what they cared. Except for Biloxi rolling in the grass, there was no action whatsoever on the horses part. As it took a few minutes before we could head past the golf course and back to the stables I took some photos in the sun. And not without a lump in my throat. Though I'm an optimistic realist and expect tomorrows xrays and examination to show that Biloxi is on the mend, I can't help but think that these are photos that I might perhaps view very differently in a while...

Fotosession?

Our plan was a bit of a photosession while the horses grazed down by the lake, and that went pretty well considering the amount of lead rope I had to keep in order. However, there was a bit of action on the golf course, and I was worried the horses would react. So mum opened up to the paddocks where I used to take Sioux before Biloxi was born and I let them in there. Better they run around, behind a proper fence, than up the golf course with me in tow!

Despite having "a leg at each corner" and waddeling more than walking now, MLP was more than happy to follow me to the end of the pier. She's always liked to explore, and didn't hesitate for even a second before following me onto the water as it were. There were big boulders at the end, so we couldn't check out the water, so she did a bit of grazing to console herself before we made our way back onto proper land.
